Our Adventure Kindergarten takes children pre-k through 6 years old to various locations in and around Albuquerque. These places of discovery include historical sites, museums, and nature reserves while learning age-appropriate curriculum. Please contact us for additional information.
Jennifer Lucil has been a member of the Elevation community since the school was founded. She has taught many of the age groups and is enjoying her current role as Adventure Kindergarten teacher and school writer.
Jennifer grew up in New York, and her interest in working with children began when teaching at a Montessori school. Her sense of adventure led Jennifer and her family to move to New Mexico, where she and her twin boys love camping. Jennifer also finds great joy in sharing ukulele and violin music. Jennifer studied English Literature at Smith College and holds an M.A. in Elementary Education.
Teri B. Neville
Teri B. Neville spearheaded the idea of an outdoor program for Elevation Children's Center. Her pioneering spirit infuses the vitality of the program, which has expanded from a two-day experience, to daily nature immersion programs as well as an Adventure Kindergarten.
From her earliest years attending camp in Tererro, New Mexico, to her career mapping and modeling rare species habitat, she brings both a love of the outdoors and a science-based appreciation of nature to our young learners. As a grandmother, she discovered the joy of bringing young children into natural landscapes and observing the growth of their relationship with the natural world. Teri holds an M.A. in Geography. Her interests include camping, horseback riding, swimming, and traveling.
